The crucial building blocks for any dashboard in Pace Analytics is the Explore being used.

When looking at any transactional data for your property (ie. specific to reservations, revenue, occupancy), you will find the data you need in the Bookings Explore.

To create this dashboard, I will use the tips and tricks that you can read about in this documentation on how to create a custom dashboard.

Showing Revenue in Local vs Group Currency

When looking at Revenue, there are variations of values that you may wish to report on. In Pace Analytics, we have provided you with the following revenue values:

  • Net Accommodation Revenue - Net revenue for bookings which stayed in-house (i.e. no revenue included from cancelled bookings).

  • Gross Accommodation Revenue - Gross revenue for bookings that stayed in-house (i.e. no revenue included from cancelled bookings).

  • Net Total Revenue - Total net revenue which has been attributed to a booking (excl. product revenue).

  • Gross Total Revenue - Total gross revenue which has been attributed to a booking (excl. product revenue).

  • Net Additional Revenue - Net additional revenue that has been attributed to a booking (e.g. revenue that cannot be attributed to a particular night of the booking or product).

  • Gross Additional Revenue - Gross additional revenue that has been attributed to a booking (e.g. revenue that cannot be attributed to a particular night of the booking or product).

  • Net Cancellation Revenue - Net revenue for bookings that were either cancelled or no-shows.

  • Gross Cancellation Revenue - Gross revenue for bookings that were either cancelled or no-shows.

  • Net Optional Total Revenue - Total net revenue which has been attributed to a booking (excl. product revenue) with booking status optional.

  • Gross Optional Total Revenue - Total gross revenue which has been attributed to a booking (excl. product revenue) with booking status optional.

All of the above revenue values are available in both Local Currency and Group Currency.

Showing ADR in Local vs Group Currency

A key metric in revenue management, Average Daily Rate (ADR), is calculated by taking the total net accommodation revenue earned and dividing it by the number of rooms sold in the period being measured.

We have pre-calculated this value for you to use within your dashboards and analyses, available in both Local Currency and Group Currency.

Showing RevPAR in Local vs Group Currency

Another key metric in revenue management, Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR), is calculated by dividing total net accommodation revenue by the total number of rooms available in the period being measured.

You will notice two RevPAR values in Pace Analytics:

  1. RevPAR - Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR) based on net accommodation revenue divided by physical capacity.

  2. Adjusted RevPAR - Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR) based on net accommodation revenue divided by bookable capacity.

We have pre-calculated these values for you to use within your dashboards and analyses, available in both Local Currency and Group Currency.

Important to note

The Group Currency that appears as an option in the Select Group Currency dropdown is the Group Currency configured when setting up Pace. You can also toggle this Group Currency to any of the 100+ currency options available in Pace Analytics.
